Simone Young appointed honorary member of the Vienna State Opera

The Vienna State Opera has appointed Simone Young as its honorary member. In an award ceremony on 2 February 2022 the opera house pays tribute to its long association with the artist, who made her debut there in 1993. Simone Young's important conducting engagements at the Vienna State Opera have included Halevy's "La Juive“, Wagner's "Ring des Nibelungen," Strauss' Daphne and Henze's "Das verratene Meer." With the distinction, the conductor also receives the Ring of Honor from Jeweler Wagner.
