Italian opera gala instead of „Macbeth“ in Berlin

The performances of Giuseppe Verdi's „Macbeth“ scheduled for October 2020 at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden have been cancelled due to corona. Nevertheless, Simone Young returns to the State Opera: she will conduct the Italian opera gala VIVA VERDI! Soloists are Marcelo Álvarez, Alexey Markov, Liudmyla Monastyrska, Adrian Sâmpetrean, Sergey Skorokhodov, Rachel Willis Sørensen, Vladislav Sulimsky, Alexander Tsymbalyuk, Violeta Urmana, Rachel Willis and Kwangchul Youn. Performances: 4, 9 and 11 October 2020
