Concerts in Madrid

For three concerts Simone Young is guest of the Orquesta Nacional de Espana in Madrid. The program at the Auditorio Nacional includes Arvo Pärt's "Cantus in memoriam Benjamin Britten" and Peter I. Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 6 "Pathetique" as well as Unsuk Chin's Concerto for Violoncello and Orchestra with Alban Gehardt as soloist. The work, premiered in 2009, is dedicated to him.
