New series of "From the house of the Dead"

In October Simone Young conducts a new series of Leoš Janáček‘s opera "From the House of the Dead" at the Bavarian State Opera. After the premiere on May 2018 the Süddeutsche Zeitung wrote in a review: "Young understands to unfold Janáček’s score in a way to create the illusion of chamber music and to let the composer’s principal theme – the hope for love – gain musical plasticity in the course of the evening." Performances are scheduled for 19, 21 and 26 October 2018.
